So I am making up for yesterday today.
Day 4
Saturday was very long - a rainy day with good bed time - I decided it was time for a healthy amount of bread. A biscuit (400) - homemade - with 2 eggs (140). Totally hit the spot, a little late in the morning and about half of my calories of the day. But let me tell you it was great - I avoided butter by just made the eggs over medium, split the biscuit and put them on top. It was delicious. Then I went to what has become the usual for the week: laughing cow cheese, tuna, chex mix (1/2 cup = 120), pineapple, chicken breast, sweet pickles, grilled onions and because there was a little space left over I could have my favorite - milk. The total for the day was 1170 - not including walking up and down the hill picking up sticks. No to bad - fairly healthy and a little exercise as well. Another day down.
Day 5
Today was very hard - I did not have breakfast because I figured we would go out for lunch after church - we did. When I found out it was Spring Creek Barbecue I thought about not going - I mean come on, sausage, fresh rolls, great root beer and mac & cheese. It sounded too hard, but I went.
I got the chicken (wow they give you like half a chicken) green beans - just a little, and the small ear of corn. No roll. No root beer. No mac & cheese. No sausage. No fried okra:(
But the chicken was great (don't worry I only ate a piece of the chicken not the whole half) and having never had the green beans (they look like lima beans) they were delicious. Wahoo I made it through lunch.
When I got home of course I had ten pieces of leftover fried okra and two thin slices of sausage - yummmmmm.
Then came dinner, La Casona, one of the best Mexican restaurants - I did good (sorry don't mean to be prideful) I had 10 chips, yes I counted, with salsa, and a couple slices of beef fajita with grilled onions and more salsa.
So, as it stands for the day I reside at 1025 - I should have had just one more slice of beef - so I shall partake of a nice cold cup of milk and end up at 1145.
I am really glad that everyone is keeping up with the posts - good eating, bad eating, exercise, no exercise - accountability makes a difference and so does encouragement. So, keep it up everyone and good luck on the weigh in tomorrow.
Changing one good choice at a time.

Fab job girl!! It's hard to stop after the 10th chip!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Paula. Hope there's a great result on the scale, but sometimes it takes a few weeks to start showing up as your system kinda goes into shock when there's such a drastic change in diet. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of you for being strong at both restaurants!! keep it up! you are motivating me more and more.
