Day 1
I have a slight obsession with losing weight, others losing weight, talking about losing weight, and reading about losing weight. With all this in mind, I have decided to become part of the post every day for a year to lose weight blog! Yeah! What a great idea. I weigh 183.2 as of today, and I would like to weight 150. Nearly every day for breakfast I eat frosted mini wheats dry, 200 calories. I eat these for my daily fiber intake to keep me regular…awesome. I will just refer to this breakfast as “Regs”. Here is my Day 1 food intake:

Cheddars Grilled chicken salad with pecans, ranch and a buttery croissant - 800
2 Taco Bell chicken soft tacos – 400

Day 2
It is really hard this time around to get motivated. Back in April 2007 I decided I was going to lose some weight. I weighed 260 (ish) lbs – 5’10 and I was pretty obese. I ate perfectly under 1500 calories everyday (except for 3 days) for 7 months and lost 80 lbs without working out. I then got pregnant with Austin and throughout the pregnancy stayed within calorie ranges and only gained 30 lbs, which I lost pretty quickly (thank you breast feeding). Now I sit at 183.2 and I long to be 150 (my high school weight). It is harder to lose the last 20-30 lbs because you start feeling more comfortable in your skin so you just kind of coast and maintain. It’s time for me though, it’s time to lose the rest! Here is my Day 2 food intake:
Regs – 200
Chicken salad & 1 ½ rolls from Napoli – 700
Grilled chicken sandwich with cantelope from Red Robin – 500
Granola Bar – 90
TOTAL = 1490
Bottom line is that choosing to eat good at home, in restaurants, and at people’s houses is very hard to do when others aren’t doing the same thing. It’s like trying to quit smoking, but sitting in front of a smoker all day long. I have had to quit smoking, I have lost 80lbs and I can lose the last 30!!! I can do it! Right?
