Day 2 - Paula - Just Five More Minutes

Do you know when your alarm goes off in the morning and then you snooze? That is right - the five more minutes - the five that turn to ten, then fifteen and before you know it thirty minutes have passed. Then your rushing to get ready, stuffing your lunch in the bag and leaving only to realize, ten miles or so later, that you left your chicken for lunch in the fridge at home. Isn't it always just so?

Today has been a good day - someone at work gave me some of their frozen sliced chicken breast - just microwave for a couple of minutes and it is ready. I have eaten all day - celery with lauching cow cheese, an orange, salad with a tiny amount of ranch (higher in calorie than I thought), Old London Melba spicy 3 pepper snacks - yes I NEED bread in some form or another, some pico and then some chicken when I got home - oh yeah and some pickles. Yes, this is the kind of stuff I eat.

Well, I am posting a little earlier tonight and coming in with 925 calories so far but I have no idea what else I will be eating for the evening. An orange sounds good - from HEB soooo delicious. No walking today - yes I let myself down too. All I am thinking about now is the call I just received, a friend is making a delicious homemade Mexican meal and offered to bring some for tomorrow - wow that was hard to turn down - it is awesome.

Anyway, I have not gone over on calories so far - the night is young - but there was not exercise :(

Still, changing one day at a time.

  1. Stop bailing on the working out!!! You can do it! Good job on eating good, keep it up! Today I ate frosted mini wheats dry (for my daily fiber to keep me regular) - 200 cals, chicken salad with 1/3 of the ranch given to me with it and a 1 1/2 pieces of bread - 700 cals, grilled chicken sandwich and cantelope - 500 cals, and 1 granola bar - 90 cals. About 1500 for the day, woohoo! I lost 3.4 lbs last week so I am hoping to lose at least 2 lbs this week, will find out Monday!
